protecting what makes grimsby home.
Responsible town growth begins with the community it's meant to serve.
My Priorities
I know and truly believe that Grimsby can do better. Years of council conflicts have put Grimsby residents in the backseat to infighting and inaction. It’s time for a council that will work for the betterment of our town and residents. A council that supports our local businesses by properly planning major road repairs that affect them. A council that listens to residents about the growth that is shaping our communities. And a council that works with developers, the region and the province to ensure our town grows in a responsible direction. We need greater protection for our heritage communities and agricultural lands. With your support, I know we can do better as a council and become the community we were meant to be.
Together, we can keep taxes low.
I’ll protect the character that makes Grimsby home.
I’ll support local tourism growth.
I’ll work to unite town council by focusing on shared priorities and love of community.
Local Knowledge. Regional Experience.
Ben knows Grimsby's potential because he's been part of the work to realize it. As a member of the Grimsby Economic Development Advisory Committee, he's had a front-row seat to the opportunities and challenges facing our town. His recent time as a board member of Destination Ontario focused on championing what makes Ontario communities worth visiting, worth investing in, and worth calling home. It's that combination of local roots and regional perspective, combined with years of federal and provincial political experience, that shapes Ben's priorities, because decisions made at the council table should be informed by real experience, not just good intentions.
Ben's understanding of what makes a community worth fighting for extends well beyond Grimsby's borders.
Years of working alongside strong leadership and organizations across Canada gave him a rare vantage point, one that connects the local pride Grimsby residents feel every day to the larger story of what makes a community genuinely thrive. That perspective comes from being in the room where those decisions are made.
